- There are many animals, reptiles, and insects that live in the Mojave Desert.
- A few major animals in the desert include coyotes, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, bats, Red-Tailed Hawks, and tortoises.
- A Coyote is a buffy-gray, wolf like animal.
- The Red-Tailed Hawk is no longer and endangered species as it once was, but it is usually very rare to see one flying about.
- There are many other insects and reptiles too, such as the Gila Monster,Horned Toads, and Red Cobras.
- The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and the Red Cobra are both very poisonous snakes.
- Gila Monsters lay their eggs in the sand.
- Red Cobras who live there can protect themselves from enemies easily.
